You've got some hoops to jump through, and even then it might not work. First thing is to enable the controller through Steam's Big Picture. Then start FC5 and see if it works. Some people get lucky, while others find reverse and descend aren't bound.
I've not tried a wireless controller on Far Cry 5, but if it's anything like Far Cry 4, you'll have issues. It should work wired though. The issue is with Bluetooth. The Steam forums have many posts about Far Cry 5 controller issues and Steam generally has excellent controller support. Report abuse.
Yes I do. Everything is updated and installed correctly. This is a problem with far cry itself, and isn't fixable by drivers or updates to the controller. Almost every single person who has uses controller on pc has this issue with this game, it's not a driver problem. I'm just wondering if there's an emulator program or something that can
SOLVED: If your buttons got weirdly remapped - you're probably using Steam. Open Steam → Settings → Beta Update (Beta Participation)→ And Install the Beta Update. Steam is the only platform, that didn't managed to install Series X Controller compatibility by default, so the mandatory update stored in Beta.
This game does not have PS4 controller support. The left trigger does not work. There are controller profiles that have very imperfect solutions but please know that there is absolutely not DS4 support in this game. Stop saying there is. Maybe it shows the DS4 button on-screen as a way to troll DS4 owners but it simply does not work. NOT true.

The aiming is flawless with a mouse where with a controller thumb stick it's more jerky and less precise. All FPS's are like this.
As the title says, I'm trying to use a PS4 controller to play this game using Steam Input, I've tried configuring as a default 360 controller and using KB/M bindings, but neither are working so far. I have it set to compatibility mode for Windows 98/ME and have added the exe as a non-steam shortcut so that I can launch it through steam as it won't launch normally on its own.
My controller works perfectly in every other game but doesn't do anything in FC4. FC4 identifies the controller and shows the xbox buttons on the screen but it's completely unresponsive. I've reinstalled the drivers and such, but it appears to be exclusively a FC4 issue.
